Is TeamCounter free?

Yes. TeamCounter can be used for free in the browser. No registration is required for simple use.

Are private lists publicly visible?

Concrete lists are reachable only through their link and are technically marked as noindex.

What is the difference between a view link and a management link?

The view link is read-only. The management link allows changes and should only be shared with trusted people.

Should I store sensitive data?

No. TeamCounter is intended for simple organizational counting. Please do not enter confidential or sensitive data.

What is a local list?

A local list is stored only in your browser and is never transferred to the TeamCounter server. You can recognise it by the "Local browser list" note. It is useful when you count on your own on a single device and do not want to share anything.

How does a local list differ from an online list?

An online list lives on the server, receives a view link and a management link and can be maintained by several people together. A local list stays on the device, which keeps data to a minimum, but it cannot be shared or opened on a second device.

Where is the data of a local list stored?

In the local storage of your browser, on exactly the device and in exactly the browser where you created the list. No account is created and no content is transferred to us.

When are local lists lost?

Local lists can be lost when site data is cleared, a private session ends or the device is reset. Another browser cannot see them but does not automatically erase the original storage. Check the original device and browser profile first.

Why can I not share a local list?

Because there is nothing on the server for a link to point to. Sharing requires a list on the server. Create an online list instead and share its view or management link.

Why does TeamCounter show advertising?

Advertising can support hosting and development. AdSense is prepared for explicitly approved public guide and template pages, subject to separate activation and applicable consent. Partner offers are labelled separately.

Which pages stay free of advertising?

AdSense remains excluded from tool entry pages, online and local lists, My lists, the large display, app information, legal/contact pages and print/export outputs. An optional first-party Android app suggestion is separate.

How do I change my cookie consent?

The footer provides two separate controls: “Analytics and cookie settings (CCM19)” reopens the choice for Google Analytics and other technologies managed by CCM19; “Advertising privacy settings (Google)” opens the Google settings for AdSense once Google’s revocation API is available. Changes apply for the future.

Is the content of my lists used for advertising?

No. The content of your lists is not evaluated for advertising purposes. The privacy policy explains the services in use in detail.

Is there a TeamCounter app?

Yes. The native TeamCounter Android app is linked on the app page. Check the respective store for current availability, version and compatibility. The website remains usable without installation.

What is the difference between the app and the website?

The Android app is fully native, not a WebView app. The website runs in the browser on iPhone, iPad and desktop too. Online lists use the appropriate view or management link. Local browser lists and local app data are separate; automatic transfer and complete feature parity are not promised.

Does the app cost anything?

The app can be installed for free and does not require a TeamCounter account. The store lists ads and in-app purchases. Check the respective store for optional purchases and availability.

Can I use my lists in both the app and the website?

Yes, as long as they are online lists: just open the management or view link in the app. Local lists, by contrast, stay on the device where they were created.

How TeamCounter differs from a normal spreadsheet

TeamCounter is built for small shared counting tasks where a full spreadsheet would be more complicated than necessary. A list can be created in the browser, opened on a phone or desktop computer and shared with a view link or a management link.

Spreadsheets are still better for complex formulas, long-term accounting or confidential records. TeamCounter focuses on simple live counters, clear sharing and lightweight exports.

Safe use and public pages

The public TeamCounter pages explain the available tools and can be indexed by search engines. Concrete list URLs, management links and display views are technically marked as noindex and should not be shared publicly.

Please avoid confidential, health-related, political or otherwise sensitive data. For simple group workflows, neutral labels, first names or initials are usually enough.
