TeamCounter guide

Online tally templates

TeamCounter templates help you start simple online lists directly in the browser. Instead of sending a spreadsheet around or passing a paper sheet through a group, you create a tally list, attendance list, drink list or score counter, share a link and keep the current state in one place.

What are online tally templates?

An online tally template is a practical starting point for a small shared workflow. You choose the matching TeamCounter tool, name the list, add entries and share either a view link or a management link. The template stays intentionally simple: no app installation, no account, no complex administration layer.

Templates are useful when the structure is always similar but the group changes: a club evening, a training session, a drink tab, a points list, a participant list or a short project checklist.

Online template vs spreadsheet or paper

Paper lists are easy to start but hard to share, easy to lose and difficult to update from different devices. Spreadsheets are powerful, but they often become too much for a simple counter. TeamCounter sits in between: it is lighter than a spreadsheet and easier to share than paper.

  • Start in the browser without registration.
  • Share a view link when people only need to read values.
  • Use the management link only for people who may update the list.
  • Export CSV data where the tool supports it.
  • Use the browser print dialog to save a PDF if needed.

Sharing, export and privacy

Every created list receives private links. The view link is useful for people who should only see the current status. The management link allows editing and should be treated like a private access key.

Please do not enter sensitive personal data. For simple shared lists, first names, initials or neutral labels are usually enough. TeamCounter is designed for simple counting tasks and not for confidential health, HR, legal or financial records. More details are available in the privacy policy.
