You add teams or people, choose the step sizes and count points up and down. Colours and names stay until you change them.

A local score also opens as a display view (light or dark, full screen) in a new tab or window of the same browser, for example for a projector connected to the same computer. For a tablet or another device, use the online score counter.
Several games in a row
You can keep several local scores side by side, open them from the list below, rename them and delete them individually. Other local lists stay untouched.

What the local version can and cannot do
Entries are kept in the browser database of this device. Counting, renaming, resetting and exporting work as online; the display view also opens in a second window of the same browser. Share links, a large display on another device and shared editing are only available in the online version. An export is a separate snapshot, not a restorable backup.

Questions and answers
Where is a local score stored?
Only in the browser database of this device. TeamCounter does not store the list on the server, so no view link and no management link are created.
When is a local score lost?
It survives reloads and browser restarts. It is lost when you clear cookies and site data for this website. Clearing only cached images and files does not remove it. In private browsing mode it can disappear earlier.
Does it work without an internet connection?
A page that is already open keeps counting and saving in this browser without a connection. Loading or reloading the page needs an internet connection; the website does not offer a full offline start without network.
Is an exported file a backup?
No, a CSV export is a separate snapshot of the current values. TeamCounter cannot import it again, and editing the file does not update the local list.
Do I need an account?
No, there is no registration and no login. Start local score counter starts immediately.
Can I switch to the online version later?
Yes, the online version stores the list on TeamCounter and gives you a view link and a management link. Entries are not transferred automatically; you create the online list separately.
Is there a display view for the local score?
Yes, it opens in a new tab or window of the same browser, for example for a projector connected to the same computer, and updates without internet. Light and dark mode and full screen work as online. A local score cannot be shown on another device; for that you need an online score counter.
