When only one person records attendance, the local version is the most data-minimal option: names and status never leave the device.
Participants and status
You add participants, mark them present or absent and see the totals. A saved session goes into the local history of this list.
No shared access
A second person cannot open the local list because no link is generated. For coaching teams with several authorised people the online attendance list is the right choice.
Avoid especially sensitive details
Even without server transmission, reasons for absence, health information or assessments do not belong in the list. A first name or an abbreviation is usually enough.

What the local version can and cannot do
Entries are kept in the browser database of this device. Counting, renaming, resetting and exporting work as online; share links, a large display on a second device and shared editing are only available in the online version. An export is a separate snapshot, not a restorable backup.

Questions and answers
Where is a local attendance list stored?
Only in the browser database of this device. TeamCounter does not store the list on the server, so no view link and no management link are created.
When is a local attendance list lost?
It survives reloads and browser restarts. It is lost when you clear cookies and site data for this website. Clearing only cached images and files does not remove it. In private browsing mode it can disappear earlier.
Does it work without an internet connection?
A page that is already open keeps counting and saving in this browser without a connection. Loading or reloading the page needs an internet connection; the website does not offer a full offline start without network.
Is an exported file a backup?
No, a CSV export is a separate snapshot of the current values. TeamCounter cannot import it again, and editing the file does not update the local list.
Do I need an account?
No, there is no registration and no login. Start local attendance list starts immediately.
Can I switch to the online version later?
Yes, the online version stores the list on TeamCounter and gives you a view link and a management link. Entries are not transferred automatically; you create the online list separately.
