A local tally list fits when you count on your own, do not want to share anything and the values should stay on the device – for stocktaking, a quick head count or simply trying the tool before you create an online list.
What works exactly the same
Creating, renaming, sorting and deleting entries, plus and minus, target values, changing the list title and resetting all behave exactly like the online version. It is the same interface with a different storage location.
What a local list cannot do
Without a server record there is no view link, no management link, no large display on a second device and no shared editing. If you want to share or continue on another device, use the online tally counter.
Where the data lives
The list is kept in this website's browser database on this device. It survives reloads and browser restarts, but is lost as soon as you clear browser or site data. In private browsing mode it can disappear earlier.

Where is a local tally list stored?
Only in the browser database of this device. TeamCounter does not store the list on the server, so no view link and no management link are created.
When is a local tally list lost?
It survives reloads and browser restarts. It is lost when you clear cookies and site data for this website. Clearing only cached images and files does not remove it. In private browsing mode it can disappear earlier.
Does it work without an internet connection?
A page that is already open keeps counting and saving in this browser without a connection. Loading or reloading the page needs an internet connection; the website does not offer a full offline start without network.
Do I need an account?
No, there is no registration and no login. Start local tally list starts immediately.
Can I switch to the online version later?
Yes, the online version stores the list on TeamCounter and gives you a view link and a management link. Entries are not transferred automatically; you create the online list separately.
Is an exported file a backup?
No, a CSV export is a separate snapshot of the current values. TeamCounter cannot import it again, and editing the file does not update the local list.
Can I export or print the local tally list?
Yes, “Export CSV” and “Print view” also work for the local tally list. Both run in the browser, without a server and, on a page that is already open, without an internet connection.
