The local drink list at a glance
When one person keeps the tab and nobody else needs to enter anything, a local drink list is enough. People, quantities, price per entry and totals work just like in the online version.
Prices and totals
You store a price per entry for each row, count units up and see the row total and the overall total. Assign the rows of the same person explicitly and the list shows that person’s amount across all of those rows. The calculation runs entirely in the browser.
Export still works
CSV export and the print view are purely client-side and are therefore available locally too. The file is a snapshot and is not synchronised with later changes.
Keep data minimal
Locally the same rule applies: first names, initials or neutral labels are usually enough. Payment details, bank data or confidential personnel information do not belong in the list.

What the local version can and cannot do
Entries are kept in the browser database of this device. Counting, renaming, resetting and exporting work as online; share links, a large display on a second device and shared editing are only available in the online version. An export is a separate snapshot, not a restorable backup.

Questions and answers
Where is a local drink list stored?
Only in the browser database of this device. TeamCounter does not store the list on the server, so no view link and no management link are created.
When is a local drink list lost?
It survives reloads and browser restarts. It is lost when you clear cookies and site data for this website. Clearing only cached images and files does not remove it. In private browsing mode it can disappear earlier.
Does it work without an internet connection?
A page that is already open keeps counting and saving in this browser without a connection. Loading or reloading the page needs an internet connection; the website does not offer a full offline start without network.
Is an exported file a backup?
No, a CSV export is a separate snapshot of the current values. TeamCounter cannot import it again, and editing the file does not update the local list.
Do I need an account?
No, there is no registration and no login. Start local drink list starts immediately.
Can I switch to the online version later?
Yes, the online version stores the list on TeamCounter and gives you a view link and a management link. Entries are not transferred automatically; you create the online list separately.
Can I assign rows to people in the local drink list?
Yes, assigning also works locally: you add people, choose the person for each row, and the person overview shows the amount for each person. The browser stores the assignments together with the local list.
